The Rudd Factor?

Reportedly DA approvals for commercial property in Queensland has increased by 12% since Kevin came back to power.
Interesting information but how do you interpret it?
Co-incidence or is there a "Rudd Factor" that equates to a sigh of relief that the forth coming election isn't going to be as big a whitewash as predicted. Either way to see the Queensland commercial sector starting to recover is good news for everybody.
The last few years has definitely "shaken the tree", those of us that have held on hopefully have learnt a few lessons. Now as projects start up there no doubt will be a scramble for work at any cost and many builders will look to exploit the situation. Interesting times ahead.

ISS seeks Neoferma’s Help

Dateline: 1st April 2011

As a result of NASA's concern over the current extreme climatic events around the globe and rumours concerning the extent of Global warming by Prof. Jules Verne, Neoferma Australia has been asked to provide suitable waterproofing products for the International Space Station (ISS).

A spokes person for Neoferma, Ms. Ripley denied that there was any cause for concern with environmental issues and that EPDM gasket is as perfectly safe in space as elsewhere.

Alien life forms do not pose a threat according to Ms. Ripley.

Several hundred metres of 16-104 will be blasted into space from Cape Burleigh in the near future together with the necessary equipment for installation, a blunt brick bolster.

Approved applicators are standing by.

Once in a while somebody comes up with a new idea that works, this was the case with Herman De Neef when he patented Bentoject a very clever waterproofing solution incorporating the beneificial properties of Bentonite with the advantages of re-injectable hoses.

Bentoject is available from Neoferma Australia for details contact Una Thompson - email una@neoferma.com.

Blue eyed boy (or girl)

Quote - "Just got back from (insert site name). (Insert contractor's project manager's name) is over the moon with the system. There are 4 projects on the go at the same time.
(Insert contractor's name) are way ahead of where any of the other contractors are. Of course he is the blue eyed boy within (insert developers’ name) for supporting the system.
I mentioned the (insert your competitors name) project to him, he believes they have made a mistake not going with SwellSeal MS." End quote

Real life quotation - real life situation; names removed, insert your own and be the blue eyed boy or girl.

Thank you Mr Rudd

Insulation fever has hit Australia!
A frenzy of business has been created with the Government's initiative on insulaion. Chinese; Korean and American factories are working overtime to provide sufficient glass wool batts to meet the Australian demand. New business's are springing up over night or just changing to become insulation installers, we have risen to the challenge and are shipping glass wool batts as well.
In gratitude to the Prime Minister we have branded our batts "Rudds".

Bentonite

In our experience a team of four men will be able to apply in excess of one thousand square metres of Bentonite membrane, such as Voltex, a day on a horizontal surface with a blinder. One of the advantages over other products is the ability for other trades to follow on immediately; another is the self healing nature of Bentonite, as shown on the left (picture of Voltex section courtesy of CETCO.)

Bentonite waterproofing membranes come in rolls of varying sizes according to the area of application, however they are all equally as simple to install, the degree of labour or machinery will be variable. Bentonite membranes are reactive rather than being passive like torch on membranes.

Roll up - Roll - up

Welcome to Neoferma Australia's Blog, yes at last a medium for everybody to use to ask questions about our products or some advice on methodology in general. We don't promise to have all the answers but with the help of others, with experience to share, we will build our collective knowledge base.
So "Ladies and Gentlemen, roll up - roll up" let's get the show on the road and see where it takes us.
